Who this service suits

Choose managed cloud servers around a measured workload and a clear operating model.

Business IT teams

Organisations that retain application ownership but want defined operating-system and server administration tasks reviewed with an infrastructure team.

Small operations teams

Businesses that need an agreed monitoring and escalation process rather than depending on one person to check a server manually.

Established workloads

Applications with documented dependencies, change approval and maintenance windows that can support a repeatable management process.

Configuration and technical scope

The quotation records the available options and the exact supplied configuration.

RequirementWhat to review
Supported environmentOS version, application interfaces and administrator access
MonitoringNamed health checks, alert recipients and escalation contacts
PatchingUpdate policy, test requirements and maintenance approval
BackupsAdministration included only for specified backup jobs
AccessNamed accounts, permission boundaries and audit needs
ExclusionsDevelopment, vendor support and out-of-scope applications

Scope your service clearly

Separate the core service from work and software that need an additional agreement.

Core service

The server configuration or professional service described in the quotation. Confirm access, operating system and the agreed deliverables.

Optional services

Migration, backup administration, monitoring, management and additional software need a separately agreed scope and price.

Commercial details

Confirm taxes, setup charges, licensing, commitment, renewal and cancellation. Availability, workload location and support commitments belong in the quotation.

Make monitoring actionable

Monitoring should define what is checked and what happens when a check fails. Separate resource alerts from application health and decide who validates an incident. A disk threshold, unavailable website and failed backup need different responses. Supply business contacts and agree escalation ownership. Monitoring frequency, coverage hours and response commitments are recorded in the service proposal rather than inferred from the word managed.

Use controlled maintenance windows

OS and runtime updates can affect libraries, database behaviour and application dependencies. List supported versions, test critical changes and identify who approves a restart. Agree a maintenance window and a rollback approach for important changes. If an application needs vendor approval, include that dependency in the plan. Management is more useful when the business can distinguish routine maintenance from a change that needs wider testing.

Keep application ownership visible

Your team knows the business rules, releases and data validation that make the application correct. Name the application owner and separate that role from the server administrator. CloudLelo can quote for the agreed infrastructure tasks and additional work where feasible. Access should be sufficient for the task without becoming unrestricted by default. Include credential handover, departure handling and management exit arrangements in the operational documentation.

Management and customer responsibilities

The management proposal lists the environments and tasks that CloudLelo will administer. It should identify monitoring checks, maintenance approval, patching windows, backup administration and incident escalation. Your team retains responsibility for application changes, business data, access approvals and decisions about acceptable interruption. An agreed scope is essential: server management does not automatically include application development, software vendor support or unlimited incident work.

Agree who handles each task

A task is assigned to CloudLelo only when it appears in the agreed management scope.

From requirements to a validated environment

Deployment dates, service commitments and acceptance criteria are agreed for your project.

01

Discover the workload

List applications, versions, dependencies, usage and authorised contacts. Identify protected data and the business owner who can validate deployment.

02

Confirm the quotation

Confirm resources, software, access, transfer, fees and the administration scope. Record commitments and exclusions before approving the quotation.

03

Prepare and validate

Agree migration or deployment, backup checks and acceptance tests. Define the rollback decision and retain source access until handover criteria are met.

04

Operate and review

Document credentials, ownership and escalation contacts. Review resource use, maintenance and recovery arrangements as the workload changes.

Managed Cloud Servers: practical questions

Understand the configuration and responsibilities before requesting an order.

Does managed mean every task is covered?

No. The proposal lists the tasks and environments covered. Application development, code debugging, third-party vendor issues and new projects require a separate review unless explicitly included.

Who authorises changes?

Name an approved business contact and define which routine tasks are pre-authorised. Changes affecting application behaviour, data or availability should follow the agreed approval and maintenance process.

Can existing cloud servers be assessed?

Share the operating system, workload, current access model and operational issues. We can review whether the environment can be supported and identify prerequisites before quoting for management.

How is this service priced?

The quotation identifies resources or subscriptions, selected operating work, taxes, licences and commercial commitments. Consulting and provider consumption charges are reviewed separately.

What should I send with an enquiry?

Describe the application or provider, current setup, users, data size and intended change. Avoid passwords, private keys and confidential business records.

Are backups or recovery included?

Confirm protected data, frequency, retention, storage location and restore responsibilities separately. Provider retention features do not automatically establish an independent backup arrangement.

How are support and management defined?

The approved scope lists tasks, channels, escalation and maintenance responsibilities. Any support hours or response commitments must be agreed for the service.

Can the configuration or subscription change later?

Changes depend on availability, software and commercial commitments. Review potential interruption, data, licences and costs before approving a resource or subscription change.
