Have a specific requirement?Let’s build your configuration

Who this service suits

Choose managed vps around a measured workload and a clear operating model.

Business application owners

Teams responsible for an application that want OS administration, patching and named operational tasks scoped separately.

Agency operations

Agencies managing client environments that need a documented permission model and a clear boundary for each customer workload.

Growing VPS deployments

Organisations reviewing resource upgrades, backup jobs and monitoring as a virtual server becomes more important to daily operations.

Configuration and technical scope

The quotation records the available options and the exact supplied configuration.

RequirementWhat to review
EnvironmentLinux or Windows compatibility reviewed before acceptance
AdministrationThe exact OS and service tasks included in management
MonitoringSpecified checks and escalation responsibilities
AccessCustomer and management accounts with appropriate rights
MaintenanceApproved windows and restart decisions
Additional chargesLicences, new projects and out-of-scope work

Scope your service clearly

Separate the core service from work and software that need an additional agreement.

Core service

The server configuration or professional service described in the quotation. Confirm access, operating system and the agreed deliverables.

Optional services

Migration, backup administration, monitoring, management and additional software need a separately agreed scope and price.

Commercial details

Confirm taxes, setup charges, licensing, commitment, renewal and cancellation. Availability, workload location and support commitments belong in the quotation.

Define the administration checklist

A management checklist should identify the OS, installed services and tasks to be maintained. Include account administration, service restarts, update handling and configuration changes where needed. The checklist should also identify work that belongs to your application developer or software vendor. This helps prevent an incident from being passed between teams without a clear owner. Each additional application or server should be reviewed before assuming it falls under the existing scope.

Make alerts and backups operational

Specify the monitoring checks, alert recipients and the person who can approve corrective action. If backup administration is requested, list the jobs, retention, restore method and test schedule. A notification that a job completed does not prove the application can be recovered. Review these arrangements when the workload changes. Neither monitoring coverage nor backup retention is assumed from a managed VPS headline or included with every resource plan.

Plan upgrades as controlled changes

Review resource consumption, disk growth and new application requirements before an upgrade. Check whether changes require a restart or migration and how the application will be validated. Your business should approve the proposed interruption and retain a recovery option. Record any price change, licence effect or management-scope extension in the quote. This makes capacity planning a documented decision rather than an emergency response to a full disk or sustained memory pressure.

Management and customer responsibilities

The management proposal lists the environments and tasks that CloudLelo will administer. It should identify monitoring checks, maintenance approval, patching windows, backup administration and incident escalation. Your team retains responsibility for application changes, business data, access approvals and decisions about acceptable interruption. An agreed scope is essential: server management does not automatically include application development, software vendor support or unlimited incident work.

Agree who handles each task

A task is assigned to CloudLelo only when it appears in the agreed management scope.

From requirements to a validated environment

Deployment dates, service commitments and acceptance criteria are agreed for your project.

01

Discover the workload

List applications, versions, dependencies, usage and authorised contacts. Identify protected data and the business owner who can validate deployment.

02

Confirm the quotation

Confirm resources, software, access, transfer, fees and the administration scope. Record commitments and exclusions before approving the quotation.

03

Prepare and validate

Agree migration or deployment, backup checks and acceptance tests. Define the rollback decision and retain source access until handover criteria are met.

04

Operate and review

Document credentials, ownership and escalation contacts. Review resource use, maintenance and recovery arrangements as the workload changes.

Managed VPS: practical questions

Understand the configuration and responsibilities before requesting an order.

Can we keep our application developer?

Yes. Your developer can retain application responsibility while a management scope covers agreed infrastructure tasks. Name both contacts and define how changes and incidents are coordinated.

Are new applications automatically covered?

New workloads can change dependencies, resource use and support requirements. Request a scope review before adding an application to an existing management agreement.

Does management change the VPS resources?

Management and resource sizing are separate choices. The quotation identifies the server size and the tasks covered, so you can understand both the infrastructure price and the service fee.

How is this service priced?

The quotation identifies resources or subscriptions, selected operating work, taxes, licences and commercial commitments. Consulting and provider consumption charges are reviewed separately.

What should I send with an enquiry?

Describe the application or provider, current setup, users, data size and intended change. Avoid passwords, private keys and confidential business records.

Are backups or recovery included?

Confirm protected data, frequency, retention, storage location and restore responsibilities separately. Provider retention features do not automatically establish an independent backup arrangement.

How are support and management defined?

The approved scope lists tasks, channels, escalation and maintenance responsibilities. Any support hours or response commitments must be agreed for the service.

Can the configuration or subscription change later?

Changes depend on availability, software and commercial commitments. Review potential interruption, data, licences and costs before approving a resource or subscription change.
